But You, O'Man Of God
God created mankind in His image and for His purpose, but sin broke what He designed. Despite that brokenness, God did not walk away. He sent Jesus to redeem, heal, and restore what was lost. First John 2 warns us about three traps that pull us away from God: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. First Timothy 6:11-12 gives every man a clear identity and a clear calling. Men of God are called to flee what traps them and to actively pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. They are also called to fight, not with fists, but in the spiritual battle against the flesh, the enemy, and anything that would cause them to let go of their faith. A man of God is not living for what this world offers. He is on assignment from God, carrying that purpose into every area of his life.
